A Labour of Love

It’s hard to believe a decade has passed since I created the short film Death Placenta for my senior thesis at UArts.  It’s a mockumentary about two lady punks who are having some issues with their current “condition,” starring myself and the talented Nora H. I didn’t realize that much time had elapsed until the Faux Film Festival reached out and told me they were going to include my short in their “Faux Favorites.”

I screened Death Placenta at Palm Springs Shortfest as well as the New York Film and Video Festival, all in the olden times of 2005.  Obviously a lot has changed in my life since then, I’ve changed cities, I’ve had different jobs and performed in pretty diverse selection of comedy shows and plays across this great nation. But one thing that hasn’t really changed is I love putting on wigs and running around like a little jerk.

So here it is, for your viewing pleasure, Death Placenta!

The original music was composed by my good buddy Jordan Burgis, who has since gone on to create his own record label, Folk Evaluation. I recommend checking it out, they are putting out some really cool reissue albums.
